Supralinearity of Peak 5 and Peak 6 in TLD-700
Track theory has been applied to an earlier suggestion, that the supralinearity of TLDs at high gamma-ray doses is due to pre-existing 1-hit and 2-hit trap structures, to calculate high-LET response. Measured 60Co dose responses for peaks 5 and 6 in LiF (TLD700) were decomposed to yield parameters characterizing each peak as a two-component c-hit mixture. One value of “trap radius” was assigned...
متن کاملDefect Structure of Glow Peak 1 in LiF:Mg,Ti (TLD-100)
The possible defect structure of peak 1 of LiF:Mg,Ti (TLD-100) was studied in the present work after different pre-irradiation heat treatments between 80◦C and 150◦C using the computer glow curve deconvolution (CGCD) method. It was shown that the defect structure of peak 1 is based on colloid centers, Ti-3O2 -mixed centers and U1-centers.
متن کاملGlow-peak stability in 6LiF:Mg,Ti (TLD-600) exposed to a Fe-ion beam.
The stability of glow peaks in 6LiF:Mg,Ti (TLD-600) exposed to a high-energy Fe-ion beam was examined in comparison to 137Cs gamma-ray irradiation under changing annealing conditions. The peak areas induced by the Fe ions were much smaller than those by gamma-rays. The sizes and positions of peaks 3-5 in Fe-ion irradiated samples were hardly changed after post-annealing at 100 degrees C x 30 mi...
متن کاملMixed Field Personnel Dosimetry, Part I: High Temperature Peak Characteristics of the Reader-annealed Tld-600*
~ The high temperature peaks (TL peaks 6-7) of TLD-600 are known to have higher responses to high LET radiation than to low LET radiation. These high temperature peak characteristics were studied for the automatic readerannealed Harshaw albedo neutron TLD. The high temperature peaks response is linear for neutrons over the dose equivalent range tested (0.05-3 mSv of a 252Cf source moderated by ...
متن کاملControl of Complex Peak-to-Peak Dynamics
The paper illustrates a method for the design of suitable controllers of chaotic systems characterized by complex peak-to-peak dynamics, namely by a recursive relationship between consecutive peaks (relative maxima) of a scalar output variable. For such systems, a reduced model can be defined which, in general, is a hybrid model composed of a one-dimensional map and a finite-state automaton. Th...
